    Singapore City Ride

DAILY RIDES goes to Singapore! But beyond the scenes of riding bicycles and the many different ways that cycling can be experienced, there is a much better and more important story about the community behind this series. The Bike Scouts is a cycling-focused community where everyone is welcome, whether you ride or own a bicycle is never the point. The Bike Scouts community works as a network of support where everyone can participate in making a real difference in the world. The part where we ride bicycles is just a bonus that helps us experience the world better using the most resilient form of mobility. This is a story that is as much about riding bicycles in Singapore as it is about the impact that each and every single Bike Scout has made over the past nine years of the community's existence. The trip to Singapore was not even meant to be a cycling story. I was there at the invitation of Meta and its Facebook platform for an exclusive event for the world's biggest social platform's global partner communities - which now includes Bike Scouts. This video is the simplest way I know to share the experience of being a small start-up community and social platform for doing good invited to share our story in front of an international audience of partners and fellow founders inside the offices of the world's biggest social platform. It was a truly amazing experience, to say the least. And for which, I am forever grateful to everyone in the Bike Scouts community whose courage to do the difficult, inconvenient, and impossible things to make a difference in their own communities is what's making it possible for the Bike Scouts to grow and make an impact beyond my wildest imagination.

    Amadeo Coffee Ride

Quick morning ride to Amadeo in Cavite (Coffee Capital of the Philippines) for strong coffee and breakfast before heading up to Mount Sungay and Palace in the Sky on the way back to Nuvali and San Pedro via the "Reverse Palace" route. Note: we asked for permission from the guard at the UCI/Philcycling facility to use the pump track. The guard said it's opened to the public, but on a personal note always make sure you ask for permission before using the track - and be respectful of others that are using the facility especially professional skaters and cyclists.

    Daily Rides Sunset Coffee Camp

A quick but super-fun coffee camping ride in Davilan to watch the sunset and to test some of the awesome camping gear we got from Decathlon for our upcoming bicycle expeditions across the Philippines. We also got to test the amazing Lumos helmets sent to us by our friends from Liberty & Co Cyclerly. We love the Lumos helmets we got to test because of the very high visibility they provide with large LED blinkers and headlights. Though slightly heavier than a standard helmet we think Lumos is a great way to add a layer of safety when riding at night, we especially love the helmets' LED turn signals that are used with a very convenient handlebar-mounted controller. We also love the Forclaz one-man tent we set up because it's super lightweight, easy to set up, folds up into a very small size, and comfortably fits an adult when on the go during bike camping trips.
